Server Requirements

Hardware: As the scale of the installation may vary, the specifications for the hardware will vary as well. If more than one facility will be utilizing the software, each will carry their own space and computing requirements.

Hard Disk space: Refer to the appropriate SQL Server documentation for its hard disk requirements. Additional hard drive space is required to accommodate the creation of topics, review templates, and worksheets. There is no hard formula for calculating this, as review template size varies. A very rough estimate might be for every 10,000 worksheets against 10 review templates having an average of 50 criterion, allow for one 1GB of space.

SQL Server Versions supported: SQL Server 2016 / 2017 / 2019.

Windows Server Versions supported: Any WIndows version supporting one of the SQL Server versions listed above. Recommended memory requirements are minimum 32 GB.

Client Requirements

Version 7.x

Hardware

Contemporary off the shelf computer able to run Windows 10 or above

Operating System

64 bit Windows 10+, 11+

.NET Framework

4.62 or better, Must be full framework, not just the Profile

Microsoft Edge.

PDA Pro Version 7.X uses the Microsoft Edge Browser instead of the now unsupported Internet Explorer. The Edge runtime framework must be installed prior to installing the 7.X client.

Plato Data Analyzer Professional may also run under a Citrix session. Hardware and Software Computing requirements for the session would be analogous to a physical computer.

Citrix Notes:

PDA Pro uses its own internal engines for exporting to various formats, e.g. Excel, Word, etc. It does not require a copy of MS Office to be available for this function. However, once exporting is done, a valid MS Office product must be used to open and edit the document.

If running under Citrix, ensure that MS Office is installed under Citrix so that the user can open exported files.

If MS Office cannot be installed under Citrix ensure that a shared drive can be used for saving the exported file and available to be opened from the user’s local computer installation of MS Office products.

If printing within Citrix, ensure that the Print Spooler services are enabled.

Roaming profiles must be enabled for Program Window memory, e.g. size, location, etc.
