Hardware and Software Requirements

Below are the specifications for hosting the Plato RACTrack Web Application. The recommended guidelines are taken from Microsoft for SQL Server hosting along with IIS.

As the application is web based, user workstation requirements include only a current version of Internet Explorer (recommended) or Chrome browsers.

The following memory and processor requirements apply to 2 different servers running SQL Server and IIS respectively OR through hosting both on the same server:

Memory	Minimum: At least 16 GB and should be increased as database size increases and user load increases to ensure optimal performance.
Processor Speed	Recommended: 2.0 GHz or faster
Processor Type	x64 Processor: AMD Opteron, AMD Athlon 64, Intel Xeon with Intel EM64T support, Intel Pentium IV with EM64T support
Drive Space	100GB with room to grow as necessary as data entry progresses

Software requirements.

.NET Framework	SQL Server 2016 (13.x) RC1 and later require .NET Framework 4.6 for the Database Engine SQL Server 2016 (13.x) setup automatically installs .NET Framework. You can also manually install .NET Framework from Microsoft .NET Framework 4.6 (Web Installer) for Windows. SQL Server 2019 requires .NET Framework 4.6.2. Available from Download Center
Internet Information Server (IIS)	Version installed with selected Windows Version.
